Today we kicked off our USA unit! The children started their jobs: bald eagle patterns, counting stars on a flag, capitalizing letters, and measuring Lincoln's hats. (I will post pictures later).
We talked about the duties of a president and the children made a tear paper flag with a person. Then Ms. Emily ask the children what they would do if they were president. I will take pictures when we get their answers typed up and put them together.
A peek at our week: We will learn about Abe Lincoln, George Washington, and some USA symbols like the Bald Eagle. I'm excited as always.
