This weeks jobs!

I had a wonderful three day weekend but is ready to go to work tomorrow. This week Mr. G is going to talk to us about how Earth is our home. We will discuss how everyone needs a home and what types of homes people and animals live in. The children are going to finish making their puffy snowman, make tear paper penguins, play snowman domino's, count snowflakes, complete a snowman glyph, and watercolor a coffee filter to look like a snowman. Most of our jobs this week are still winter related because I LOVE winter and I have SO many activities. Tp end our week on the Earth the Memphis Botanic Gardens will come and talk to the children about trees. It's going to be a fun week!
I will post pictures of the activities through out the week!

Snowman

Here is the beginning stage of our fluffy snowman. I got the idea form HERE. Mix half Elmer's glue and shaving cream and have the children glob the mixture on, you can't paint it because it doesn't glob up enough. It was fun and we can't wait to finish them next week.

Hot Chocolate Display

After we finished our hot chocolate marshmallow craft we graphed to see who does and doesn't like hot chocolate. Here is all of it hanging up.

Carpet Time

During carpet time today we had a fun little review. I told the children something like brush your teeth and the children either held up a sun if they did it during the day or a moon if they do it at night. We had a blast. I tried to trick them many times and they thought it was SO much fun. We had such an exciting Thursday.

Hot Chocolate Anyone!

I found this cute idea on Pinterest and had to do something similar to it since we were having hot chocolate. The children did a great job and had fun making it.

PJ and Hot Chocolate Day!

Today was PJ Day to end our week with Ms. Y and talking about how rest keeps us healthy. I decided to bring in hot chocolate for an extra treat for the children. They loved it and looked so big drinking from their cups. The day ended up perfectly because we had some snow flurries as well. The children were SO excited. During centers I took a few small groups outside to look at the snow fall, only if it was cold enough to stick.
