Tea with Mom

Tomorrow we are having a Tea Party with Mom during lunch. Thanks to my wonderful room mom, who set up a sign up to help organize the fun, this is going to be a great event. Then my incredible mothers signed up to help as well. I truly have the BEST parents ever.

 

I want to let all of you know how much I appreciate each and everyone of you. Thank you for trusting me with your precious angels everyday. They are so precious!

 

My job is so rewarding in so many ways.

 

Fall Farm Festival

A couple months ago I talked about our Annual Fall Farm Festival that benefits the Paul A. McDaniel Foundation. I want to encourage everyone to come out and support a great cause. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the foundation. We will have many activities for the children to do. There will be a hayride, petting farm, moon bounce, zip line, playground, face painting, pumpkin patch, games/prizes, and concessions. It's sure to be a fun day full of excitement.

 

This foundation means SOOOO much to my family and I, please come out and have fun while supporting a great cause.

Princess and the Pea

This week Mr. Q is teaching us different Fairy Tales. Today we talked about what makes a Fairy Tale a Fairy Tale. Then we used the Smart Board and watched the story of The Princess and the Pea. The children had a blast and didn't make a sound the whole time.

 

After we watched the story we made the princess in her bed with the pea under it. They came out really cute!

It's Here!

Our Smart Board was installed during Fall Break. I'm SOOOO excited. I spent most of my break looking at different things to do on the Smart Board. I have found numberous resources and can't want to share them with the children.

Memphis Botanic Gardens

Today the Memphis Botanic Gardens came and talked to the children about what's a fruit and what's a veggie. The children learned that if it has a seed then it's a fruit. We matched fruits and veggies, sorted them, planted a seed and made a fruit/veggie puppet. We ended the session by acting out how a plant grows.

Chef

Yesterday we talked about a chef and all the yummy food that he gets to make. Then the children made their own chef and told me what they would make if they were a chef. Here are some pictures:

Wall

This pass weekend our wonderful maintenance man has been finishing getting out rooms ready for our Smart Boards. Our room is done and ready for it to be installed during Fall Break. I'm SOOOO excited. I have a lot of great things planned next week for us to do with the board. I need to find more websites with interactive activities for us to do.
